So far this week I have been working primarily on my creative writing project. For this project, I have been kind of going back and forth between letters written between my characters and actual dialogue between my characters in a story form. For my story, I started it off by writing some letters between my two main characters, somewhat using it to give context for my story to come. My story is about two college students who are meeting up to create a music album. I am super excited about this project because I finally get to be more creative. At first I wasn’t really sure how to incorporate letters into the story, however I think I worked them in. I am also thinking about potentially writing my final project & presentation on letter writing within creative writing, and the different ways it can be used. For this I can also include my own experience in letter writing through creative writing, and add how I felt about that process. I also feel like creative writing is what I am most interested in within the topics we have worked on in class.
Additionally, this week we focused on the two movies/books 84 Charing Cross Road & Can you ever forgive me?. I really liked the movie “Can You ever forgive me?”. I found the story actually very interesting about what Lee Israel did to sustain her life and the choices she made.
